# Overview

### Guide to Creating a Wallet in Recital

Wallet and Sub-accounts creation can be created either via the API or directly from the Dashboard.

To begin using the Wallet API, please follow these steps:

1. Add Provider(s)
   * Navigate to the Dashboard and add the necessary provider(s) to enable wallet operations.
2. Create a Wallet
   * From the Dashboard, create a new wallet and configure the supported currencies.
   * Once created, copy the walletId — you will need this for making API requests.
3. Retrieve Your API Key
   * Access your API key from the Dashboard. This key is required to authenticate all API calls.
